A Match made in Paris – meet our new brand Bowie Rae
As you can probably imagine we love our Job and we love bridal fashion. There are so many cool, unique, wild, breathtaking designers out there with great visions for the modern, fashion oriented bride. We are always looking for cool new brands for our brides-to-be that meet our standards for an elevated collection of high-end, special, minimal bridal styles. This is not an easy task as there are lots of things to consider: How and where are the garments produced? What’s the production and delivery line like? Are the pieces not only beautiful but also wearable? Can we meet most brides’ wishes with these pieces? What sizes are available? Is the price point somehting we can support and communicate to our brides?
The australian brand Bowie Rae – founded by Manal Waugh with the mission to cater to brides who are looking for their dream wedding dress away from mainstream and want to make a sustainable buying decision in the process – has been on our radar for quite some time. The brand is intentionally growing slowly with a small number of stockists across the globe and we are so honored to now be a part of this cosmos.
Let’s rendezvous in the city of love
In the beginning of March, when spring slowly made its way to the European hemisphere, we had the unique possibility to See the Collection in an intimate setting during Paris Fashion Week. We were absolutely enchanted – by Manal’s warm, sunny and fun personality, by her beautiful designs and by the impeccable quality of the fabrics. We met in a pretty hotel suite and were talked through the collection by the designer herself over a glass of champagne. After 2 years of pandemic life and ordering over zoom, we cannot tell you how amazing it felt to be able to experience textures again and talk face to face with peers from the bridal industry. Manal has a very precise vision of the kind of stockists she wants to work with and how the brand Bowie Rae is conveyed there – she is in it with all her heart and mind. So we talked a lot about what OUR brides wanted and how the brand Bowie Rae can make their wishes come true. What assured us the most is how thought through the entire collection is – different elements can be put together to create a unique and special look for every bride and her specific needs and wishes. The pieces are made to be worn beyond the wedding day and it gives us so much pleasure to play with different combinations and think about how they can be included into a wardrobe after a bride’s wedding.

The Bowie Rae bride is bold, confident and does not compromise. She knows her own style and celebrates it – especially on her wedding day, one of the most important moments in her life. She wants to stay true to herself and have fun with her wedding day wardrobe.
Together with Manal we lovingly selected some Bowie Rae styles which will come to us this summer (exact dates coming soon). We selected the pieces we felt the most, but were also led by the feedback of our brides and Manal’s expertise. We are beyond excited to show these selected styles to our brides during their fittings. Some styles we chose are from the brand new collection “The Cosmic Egg” which hasn’t even officially come out yet.
